Terra (Italy) will be exhibiting at Macfrut

Sales to foreign countries exclusively from Italian suppliers

A 90-year-old company that works exclusively with Italian producers and exports abroad, Terra, has its headquarters in Bolzano and a branch in Zevio (Verona). "We focus on fruit and vegetables," says director Lorenzo Pirami, "and we have more than a hundred suppliers throughout Italy with whom we work and program periodically."

In addition to the integrated pest management produce, Terra also supplies a share of organic and biodynamic crops. "We export 98 per cent of our fruit and vegetables, and the remaining 2 per cent in Italy is only in summer. Our main markets are Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Romania, Luxembourg, central and northern Europe. We provide a service and ensure compliance with our production protocols, which are quite strict in terms of quality."

"In spring, 20% of our turnover is dedicated to asparagus, with white asparagus making up the majority. Strawberries also have an important specific weight, although this year the availability, at least in the first weeks, was not so great."

During the colder season, broccoli and cauliflower account for a significant proportion of the commercialized product range.

"We will be at Macfrut, at stand D4-56," says the director. "We look forward to welcoming established customers and potential new ones to our stand."
