Orient Overseas Container Line reported a 9% decline in total revenues in the Q1 2024

In the initial quarter of 2024, Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) reported a 9% decline in total revenues, amounting to US$2 billion. Despite this, the carrier observed a 3.4% rise in total liftings, reaching 1.8 million TEUs, and a 2.2% increase in loadable capacity.

The overall load factor also saw a marginal improvement of 0.9% over the same quarter in the previous year. However, OOCL noted a 12% decrease in the average revenue per TEU when compared to the first quarter of 2023.
