Synchronize inventory information with real-time warehouse activity

“Our software offers the ability for a customer to know exactly where any pallet is within their facility, in real-time,” says Adrian Down with RedLine Solutions. “Many companies’ systems lack the ability to synchronize inventory information with activity in the warehouse, resulting in a difference between the physical inventory and the inventory represented in the grower accounting system.”

Challenges
Some of the challenges the companies and employees face when inventory information is not accurate, include:
  • Outdated stock information
  • Poor stock rotation as staff needs to plan storage and find product
  • Physical inventory needs to be manually checked against the system every day, which is very time consuming.
  • Drivers wasting time in looking for the most suitable produce for each order
“The solution that we provide is a software system that connects seamlessly to a company’s accounting system,” mentioned Down. It offers a solid foundation for real-time inventory accuracy. The system enables staff productivity monitoring and it increases shipping speed. Optimization of racking space as well as instant access to data required to support recalls are other benefits of the system.

Customer testimonials
Some of RedLine’s customers have commented on the results of purchasing a software system. “One of our customers, Kershaw Fruits, noticed a 30 percent labor saving after having installed our software,” shared Down. Gilbert Orchards said that the time to retrieve a pallet came down from 10 minutes to 2-3 minutes. “Though inventory levels could be seen in the system, the accuracy was limited,” shared a representative from Royal Ridge Fruits. The company manages 18 million pounds of fruit. After the RedLine system had become operational, blind inventory checks consistently showed that the company’s inventory is 100 percent accurate.
