This has been possible thanks to genetic developments and new varieties available, the good use of technology, new management systems without soil, and the prestige achieved by its fruit.

"Morocco increased the area it devotes to blueberry production by more than 1,000 hectares in the last season and currently has nearly 5,300 hectares. The industry goal is to reach 6,000 hectares planted with good varieties in the short term."

Favorable conditions
"Morocco can produce blueberries 10 months a year. Production in the areas where it is not cold goes from September to April or May. This crop is grown in the flatlands and in areas near the sea, which don't have many cold hours. The Moroccan industry wants to produce from April to August or September, to have production during the 52 weeks of the year."
"In addition, Morocco is a gateway to Europe, Africa, and Asia.
